Wadia at Music Matters

Martin Cooper: Wadia
May 15 . 2009

Wadia was in Colorado last week for Listen Up’s inaugural Music Matters events. There were three events in total starting in Colorado Springs on Tuesday night, moving to Denver for Wednesday night and concluding in Boulder on Thursday night. Each night was hosted by Listen Up at their stores and was attended by some of the biggest and best manufacturers in the audio industry today. Wadia had the opportunity to display our new 381i CD Player with USB along with amplification from McIntosh, sonus Faber and Audioquest.

There was a large focus on high performance computer audio at these events. The keynote speaker was John Atkinson from Stereophile who was showing high resolution computer audio through a standalone USB DAC. We of course were showing high resolution 24/96 music being played in iTunes and sent out USB to the 381i CD Player for decoding and up-conversion. David Solomon from Peachtree Audio was showing off their new Nova Integrated Amplifier/DAC which also has a USB input and was demonstrating the benefits of a great DAC with computer audio.

Wadia looks forward to more events like Music Matters and further opportunities to show the virtues of superior digital to analog conversion. When applied to computer audio properly, a great DAC can turn your computer into a high end media server and take your music listening to new levels unattainable until recently.
